Building a Sustainable Home

The MIT Mobile Experience Lab, within the Design Laboratory, signed a 3 years strategic alliance with the Fondazione Bruno Kessler, promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento, Italy, on July of 2008.

The goal of the alliance is to advance research in sustainable connected homes, including subtopics of renewable energy systems, sustainable architecture, social sustainability, and connected information systems to optimize home behavior and people's lives.

The project will conclude with building a full-scale prototype of a sustainable home with new technologies, materials, and applications.
